Reconciliation and Development Association

Founded in 2009 and legalized in 2017, RADA is a nonprofit,
community-based organization that has been operational since 2020.

STRATEGY/APPROACH

Our approach to community development is to spend our energy identifying problems using scientific means of needs assessments, elaborate sustainable solutions, and implementing them in collaboration with stakeholders in our impact domains of interest. This allows RADA to track its goals, activities, and monitor its impact effectively

Some Achievements & Impact

Development of the Cameroonian Front of Package Warning Label
RADA successfully developed and tested the Contextually Designed Cameroonian Front of Package Warning Labels in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Health, Resolve to Save Lives and Cameroon NCD Alliance.

Queens Lighting of the Beacon
RADA was honored to be chosen to host the Platinum Jubilee in partnership with the Queen's Commonwealth Trust and the Cameroon British High Commission.

Hosting of the Cameroon NCD Alliance Secretariat
RADA has been hosting the Secretariat of the Cameroon NCD Alliance since 2020 coordinating and supporting the members of the Alliance to achieve its mission and vision, so far the Alliance has successfully been awarded three(03) Fuel Awards, implemented two projects during and post COVID-19, growing in membership and collaboration across Africa.

RADA has empowered over 49 youth leaders on Vision, Productivity, Leadership and other relevant skills for the job market through our Circles Volunteers Program(CVP)

Cameroon Nutrition Database
RADA developed a nutrition database for Cameroon which contributed data into the WHO Global Nutrition Database.

Installation of Water Catchments
RADA installed two water catchments in Bui Division in collaboration with Self Reliance

Media Trainings of over 80 media stakeholders on healthy food policy advocacy, such as Front-of-Package Warning Labels (FoPWL) and an increase in tax of sugar sweetened beverages and unhealthy packaged foods products based on evidence to promote public health and development.

Five (05) Years Strategic Plans (2023-2027)

The strategic plan is a 5 years’ strategic document which seeks to achieve the seven strategic goals/ directions of the organisation which is in in line with our mission and vision. These goals and directions were defined by our areas of achievement focus and all our 30 programs are seeking to arrive at community development by either improving the quality of life, reduce mortality and morbidity, reduce inequities etc.

Action Plan -2025

The 2025 Action plan is a document that comprise of annual goals set by each department in line with the strategic plan for 2023-2027. It contains the SWOT Analysis of RADA, the 30 departmental programs, objectives, activities, indicators and the timeline for each activity. This document provides a detailed insight as to how the yearly goals for each department will be achieved.
