GBV Prevention & Gender Equality in Conflict-Affected Regions
Program Overview
The GBV program seeks to take a special dive into the issues of gender which are currently growing and sensitive in our society. Promoting equality of opportunity among gender, but also mitigating gender stereotypes and raising awareness about the importance ofย understanding the key issues on gender and supporting equality of opportunity for all genders practically in Cameroon.
THREE MAIN OBJECTIVES FOR THE PROGRAM
- ย Create awareness in the local communities on GBV, its causes, effects and ways to get help within conflict-affected regions of Cameroon.
- ย To reduce the risk of Gender-Based Violence.
- Improve access to quality services survivors of gender-based violence.
THE PURPOSE OF THIS PROGRAM
To reduce gender-based violence within conflict-affected communities in the Northwest and Southwest Regions of Cameroon.
Challenging Stereotypes, Promoting Equity
Raises awareness and mitigates harmful gender stereotypes by promoting understanding and equality of opportunity for all genders across Cameroonian society.
Reducing GBV in Conflict Zones
Focuses on directly reducing gender-based violence within vulnerable and conflict-affected communities in the Northwest and Southwest Regions of Cameroon.
Practical Support & Empowerment
Implements practical interventions and fosters community dialogue to support gender equality and address the growing, sensitive issues of gender in local contexts.
