RADA Scholars Fund

Please read the information below carefully before participating.

This fund is meant to support and encourage outstanding students who excel in two areas: Academics and social behavior. It is not enough to perform well in academics. The student must perform well but show good character. They must be able to work with other students, and be meaningfully active, constituting to the good of the society in which they live and study. To qualify, the student or Pupil needs to show proof of excellent academic performance as well as

Education is power. Contribution tot his fund is from funds dedicated from RADA’s staff members, board, and the general public who want to see that our community is built through excellence.

There are three types of Scholars:

A. Primary Scholars: 75% of the annual Award is used to prepare for the student’s subsequent academic year and partially saved to fund the child’s secondary school education. The scholarship is 100.000 FCFA. Awarded to 5 Pupils.

B. Secondary School: 75% if used to fund the subsequent academic year and 25% is saved for their Ordinary Level Year of schooling . The Scholarship is 150.000 FCFA awarded to 5 students.

C. University Scholars: 100% of the funds are used to support their University education. Most of these students struggle to pay tuition house rents and buy academic supplies. Some go into professional schools and need support to fund their education. The Scholarship is 350.000 FCFA awarded to 5 students.

Selection Criteria:

  • Be less than 35 years old
  • Be able to provide Academic records for the Year of Applications
  • Have an average of 18/20 or more.
  • Provide evidence of your extracurricular engagements at school and in the community (These will be independently verified)
  • Fill and submit the application form below
  • For primary school applicants (Parents or teachers can apply on the behalf of pupils they believe are meritorious)

The scholarship is highly competitive and each year it is launched, it will have a high level of scrutiny to get the awardees.

It is RADA’s belief that with education, children can write their own ticket to a bright future but also, the society can benefit from excellence of students when the students are capable of contributing using their education to contribute to the society as responsible citizens.

Selection: Selection is done by a panel of experts and then confirmed by RADA. The experts are selected from Academic, government, private sector and non profit ranks each year. The applications received and provided to the panelists who independent score applicants based on the information received, after which information is confirmed by the internal audit section of RADA, and re-submitted to the Panel for final confirmation. The Final Awardees receive email and phone call confirmation of their selection prior to schools resumption.

The award is issued during our annual Thanks Giving Week of event.
