Waste Management

About the Program

Accordingss to the world bank, the world generates about 2.01 billion waste annually, with 13.5% been recycled, 5.5% is composed and about 40% of waste generated is poorly managed. Bamenda generates about 120 – 160 tons of waste daily which is improperly managed nor recycled. Waste is a major issues in our towns and cities which are concerned and making sure that what so ever that is generated is not actually wasted nor act as a pollutant. Advocating for the proper waste management is the core value of this program by making sure from generation, consumption, disposer and recycle is the core value of this program

 

Comunity Center

• Capacity building trainings of youths on environmental waste management and advanced advocacy tool

Data Driven

• Lunch school and or community challenges (competitions) on waste management and recycling

Focus Support

• Advocate for the end of non-biodegradable plastic consumption and encourage biodegradable plastics
