About the Program
Accordingss to the world bank, the world generates about 2.01 billion waste annually, with 13.5% been recycled, 5.5% is composed and about 40% of waste generated is poorly managed. Bamenda generates about 120 – 160 tons of waste daily which is improperly managed nor recycled. Waste is a major issues in our towns and cities which are concerned and making sure that what so ever that is generated is not actually wasted nor act as a pollutant. Advocating for the proper waste management is the core value of this program by making sure from generation, consumption, disposer and recycle is the core value of this program |
Comunity Center
• Capacity building trainings of youths on environmental waste management and advanced advocacy tool
Data Driven
• Lunch school and or community challenges (competitions) on waste management and recycling
Focus Support
• Advocate for the end of non-biodegradable plastic consumption and encourage biodegradable plastics
