2024 achievements and Milestones
From national hackathons to institutional upgrades, 2024 marked a year of growth, innovation, and cross-departmental collaboration at RADA’s Technology Department.
CODEWISE Program
Designed to empower over 400 participants with workforce-ready digital skills, CODEWISE collaborated with MEAL, Communications, and Grants teams to build a market survey, stakeholder materials, and funding proposals. Two significant partnerships were established to enhance delivery and scale.Silicon GrassFields Program
Through review sessions with leading startups, this program refined its strategy and built a solid engagement plan for growing Bamenda’s innovation ecosystem.Institutional Growth & Development
- Installed surveillance cameras and updated intercom systems
- Deployed LAN & wireless mesh networks for full connectivity
- Trained 70% of staff in AI tools, boosting efficiency by 40%
- Developed a centralized data system concept
- Produced media for awareness days and community podcasts
City HACK Hackathon – July 2024
RADA’s team, led by Moses Kangong, placed in the top 6 among tech innovators nationwide, earning a spot to represent at the International Tech Summit. The 5-day challenge boosted collaboration, creativity, and regional visibility.CITS National Hackathon – October 2024
Competing among 70 teams and 350 tech professionals from all 10 regions, the RADA team stood out for innovation and technical excellence.
