Program Overview
The “YOUTH VOICES AND CIVIC ENGAGEMENT” program aims to foster a deeper sense of youth commitment to civic responsibilities and democratic participation across Cameroon. Its core focus is to create inclusive spaces that amplify youth involvement in key democratic activities, empowering young people to actively contribute to national development. The program also seeks to enhance youth understanding of the country’s institutions, policies, and opportunities, equipping them with the knowledge needed to navigate governance structures effectively. Additionally, it aims to empower youths as agents of conflict resolution and engage them in the democratic processes, promoting a culture of dialogue, peace, and active citizenship to strengthen democracy and social cohesion in Cameroon.
THREE MAIN OBJECTIVES FOR THE PROGRAM
To create spaces and amplify youth engagement in Democratic activities of the country.
To promote youth understanding and create awareness of Cameroon’s institutions, policies and opportunities to navigate through.
To engage youths and Civil Society Organizations in Conflict Resolution and democratic participation in Cameroon.
