Centers for Nutritional, Biomedical, and Biotechnology Research (CENBAT), Cameroon

Biomedical Research & Diagnostic Center for Evidence-Based Health Solutions

Program Overview

The center provides laboratories for monitoring food products, sickle cell diagnosis, and performance of other laboratory-based clinical biomedical tests that are relevant to interventional research and the collaborative work of RADA and the Bonin Health Services. The research center will grow gradually and affiliate with other key institutions abroad for biomedical elements of public health research interest and for advancing health care delivery in Cameroon.

THREE MAIN OBJECTIVES FOR THE PROGRAM

  1. To establish and strengthen laboratory capacity for food product monitoring, sickle cell diagnosis, and other clinical biomedical tests relevant to interventional and collaborative research between RADA and Bonin Health Services.
  2. To promote collaborative biomedical research and innovation aimed at improving public health outcomes and advancing evidence-based healthcare delivery in Cameroon.
  3. To develop strategic affiliations with national and international institutions to enhance biomedical research capabilities, facilitate knowledge exchange, and support the sustainable growth of the research center.

THE PURPOSE OF THIS PROGRAM

The purpose of this program is to establish a functional biomedical research and diagnostic center that supports evidence-based health interventions through laboratory testing, research collaboration, and innovation. The center aims to enhance disease diagnosis, food safety monitoring, and research capacity while fostering partnerships that advance healthcare delivery and scientific excellence in Cameroon.

Precision Testing & Monitoring

Provides essential laboratories for clinical biomedical tests, food product monitoring, and disease diagnosis—including sickle cell—to support accurate, evidence-based health interventions.
