Geologic Agriculture

An innovative soil-free farming approach successfully tested at RADA’s GeoAg farm.

Program Overview

Also known as Geological agriculture. It is the study and application of cultivating plants and vegetation indoors or outdoors permanently without the use of soil and fertilizers. Getting to discover these experiments have been
carried out here in RADA in the small GeoAg farm where soya beans, groundnuts, beans and melon
where planted which the turnout was positive.

This program seeks to build partnerships, promote skills development, raise awareness and promote GeoArg in schools. RADA intends to build a network will constitute the collaboration with partners, youths and students who are interested
in this type of farming and are ready to try new methods of farming and practice new experiments.

THE MAIN OBJECTIVES FOR THE PROGRAM

  1. Carryout experiments in RADA farm
  2. Introduce GeoAg in secondary and university schools

THE PURPOSE OF THIS PROGRAM

To carry out a new experiment using different rock type

Soil-Free Crop Innovation

Research and apply geological agriculture techniques to cultivate crops without soil or chemical fertilizers using natural mineral substrates.

Rock-Based Growth Experiments

Conduct new agricultural experiments using different rock types to evaluate their impact on plant growth and nutrient absorption.

Proven Field Results

Demonstrate successful crop yields from GeoAg trials conducted at RADA’s pilot farm with soya beans, groundnuts, beans, and melon.

SUCCESS STORIES

Experiments have been carried out by RADA where a number of crops have been planted such as beans, soya beans, groundnuts with very high nutritional value.

GeoAg was equally introduced to 2 other universities in Bamenda.
