About the Program
The aim of this program is to cultivate, transform and process lemon grass into powder form to ensure that lemon grass is available at all times, and for easy consumption. There is currently no major large-scale cultivation of this grass in Cameroon. A great portion of the population knows lemon grass and uses it through boiling only when it is available. It is rarely available, yet loved. Also, boiling has been the main method used for the preparation of this grass prior to consumption. As such, don’t get to consume it regularly. Transformation of this grass into powder is limited. This project therefore seeks to address this problem, to ensure availability, sustainability, convenience and regular consumption of this valuable product.
