Health is not only the absence of a disease but a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being. Mental health is about how people think, feel and behave. Mental health can affect daily living, relationships and physical health. According to World Health Organization, “mental health is more than just the absence of mental disorders or disabilities.” Most at times, mental health is taken for granted and people considered with mental health issues are those roaming the streets practically naked. Mental health is real it comes in various forms such as depression, mental disorder, substance abuse disorder, trauma, personality disorder just to name a few.

The National Alliance on Mental Illness estimates that, almost 1 in 5 adults experiences mental health problems in each year, this greatly calls for concern. Leave that toxic environment because toxicity promotes mental issues, let’s not be enemies to ourselves, let’s be one another’s keeper, your state of mind is important not just a physical appearance.

Remember when we go through a phase lets open up to someone and not die in silence. We should have it in mind that good mental health depends on several elements of life such as social environment, physical environment, personal factors (lifestyle, self-esteem and money) and the world at large can come together to combat mental health.
